Squid Game has been watched. A fairly decent series that excels majorly because of the interesting premise. The adequate performances, impressive music and jaw dropping setting helps in providing a solid watch.

The writing is patchy with indifferent tempo. The games are interesting which after a point becomes predicatable. Also, the series loses pace past a point and we just want to get it done with. The climax twist was surprising but other than that final episode was an yawn fest.

However, the emotions between the characters could be truly felt. I did felt bad at instances. The infamous sixth episode was emotional yet not a tear-jerker as many claimed to be. I get the reason behind never before hype for the series which is largely due to the unique premise

The word of mouth has helped it reach an exponential success. I wouldn't call it overrated but it's one of the ordinary series that takes internet by a storm which can't be complained.

~Overall, good watch.

Have your expectations limited.
