John Wick 4 : A complete feast of an action entertainer
The biggest selling point for John Wick is the one vs world plot that is executed so perfectly. John Wick 4 effectively makes use of the plot to the fullest in providing a riveting action entertainer that I loved it very much.
I don't know what's with me and John Wick subtitles. John Wick 3 was the first movie in theatre where there was no subtitle which I was able to understand 50-60%, likewise John Wick 4 as well didn't have subtitles but gladly I was able to grasp 90-95% of the dialogues without subtitle.
Keanu Reeves as the invincible Baba Yaga continued his swagger and oozing class in his performance like in the previous parts. But the main show stealer was Donnie Yen as Caine. The character was slick and smart that it made it quite difficulty to not like. Ian McShane as Winston was the next noteworthy performed among the artists.
John Wick is the purest action movie franchise I have come across. What makes John Wick tick is the finesse with the action sequences are choreographed. John Wick 4 offers wide range of such sequences that are absolutely entertaining and satisfactory as well. The 2 minute single shot sequence was breathtaking while the traffic and steps fight scene was just amazing to watch on big screen.
Technically, the movie kicks so much ass. Cinematography was excellent and the music and camera work was terrific. The story and screenplay follow a predictable pattern but they don't hinder much despite being the longest film in the franchise. Though being less, dialogues are razor sharp.
The downsides are similar to what John Wick movies usually face. The story and screenplay is mostly predictable and the John Wick being exponentially invincible.
Despite what makes the movie click is the ample entertainment it provides and topping it with a satisfying end.
~Overall, Worth it and loved it absolutely.
