Jagame Thandhiram: Half baked product that hardly satisfies
A local don gets laced between 2 polarized groups in Britain. Dhanush and SaNa are the 2 biggest positives of the movie. Dhanush with his effortless acting and mannerisms holds the forte while SaNa with his uber-cool BGMs supports the movie perfectly.
Karthik Subbaraj’s first political movie works well in parts though it suffers heavily on its predictability and poor writing. The immigrant flashback does provide the expected impact on the screen, thanks to the SaNa’s ‘Theipirai’ song. Aishwarya Lakshmi as the female lead does a passable job.
In the supporting actors, Joju George, Kalai Arasan, and James Cosmo do a noticeably good job while many other professional actors have been wasted.
The movie suffers a big-time with the yawning screenplay and the length. The first 50 mins is literally ‘Meh’. The remainder of the movie has some interesting sequences yet as a whole the movie is a tiring watch.
~Average!
Watch it for Dhanush and SaNa or if you have nothing better to watch!
