India, ICC and Pakistan — CT dilemma

Wrote a big ass writeup explaining the whole dilemma of India playing the champions trophy in Dubai rather than Pakistan this afternoon. Lost it cause I closed the app without saving.

No energy nor interest to explain the whole thing again but briefly the deal is India can't and won't go to Pakistan and the said security reasons are valid. The everlasting geopolitical tussle is the root cause behind it. However, ICC can't go on without India because they can't make money without them. As simple as that, India brings more revenue than any nation and it's very much required to keep the sport intact.

You can cry how unfair it is. Yes it is but neither of the parties are entirely at fault here. It's just how it is and it's how it will be because the market is skewed in favour of India.

Even then, India will go on to beat every team in the tournament, irrespective of the venue. 2023 WC is the example where they played 9 teams in 9 different venues and even beat them all quite convincingly

So, if you are going to be ignorant to the intricacies of how it works, cry me a river.
