There are two types of good cinema. A cinema with top notch technicalities, airtight screenplay and an impactful story, there's another type where the movie wins you over with a simple story that narrates a relatable story. Premalu is the second type that has so much to love about.

On paper, it's just a simple guy who falls in love with the girl and how he wins her is the story. But, in reality the movie is so much more. It's a story of a hopeless romantic with absolutely no idea on what he's going to do with his life who falls for a girl way out of his league. Movies tend to bring our pipe dreams true and Premalu is one such movie where the guy gets a happy ending which is impossible in real life.

Naslen K Gafoor and Mamitha Baiju play the lead pair. Naslen looks like young simbu but acts unlike anything simbu has done so far, a hesitant clueless guy yet pure at heart. Mamitha is the charm of the movie. The smile that brightens the room and expressions to watch it in repeat, Mamitha Baiju is a complete package for a dream girl. Sangeeth Prathap as the friend Amal Davis was on point with his one-liners and reaction that left the theatre in splits. Shyam Mohan as Aadhi was an excellent representation of guys living with false pretense over themselves and people around them.

The story is simple but the screenplay adds umpteen fun elements that makes the movie so entertaining, hardly any dull moment. Special mention to the terrace scene in the second half, laughed my heart out. The technicalities were splendid with a music that was as peppy as the film and the cinematography that captured the essence of Hyderabad.

I don't have any downsides to the movie. It was such a fun movie. I am not going to pick about it. The movie straight up goes into my favourite Mollywood films.

~Overall, worth every penny and hype.
