𝗚𝗮𝗿𝘂𝗱𝗮 𝗚𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮 𝗩𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗯𝗵𝗮 𝗩𝗮𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗮 : An unique and fresh Gangster tale

Garuda Gamana Vrishabha Vahana was an engaging watch and was quite an unique experience for Gangster movies.

Firstly, I haven't watched much Kannada movies which helped me get sucked into the movie as all the characters were realistic and believable for me. The story and screenplay treatment was fresh and different. Usually, the gangster movies tend to be raw and rustic just for the sake of it. GGVV had an urban and a sense of neatness to it(maybe that's how gangsters are in Mangalore) which added the above said attribute of freshness and uniqueness.

A special mention to the stellar soundtrack and BGM used throughout the movie. They assisted in setting the mood for the film. I don't know much about aesthetic appeal but I believe the frames in GGVV had a sense of Aesthetic appeal to it which enhanced the story telling. The climax was done well which came as a surprise.

Coming to the negatives, the story sort of became predictable in the final hour. The subtitling was sub par which seemed to dilute the essence for me. Also, I had seen numerous posts about the movie lately which as well dented my experience.

A little anecdote to conclude the post. When the movie released in theatres, close friend of mine had watched it in theatre and asked me to watch as well. Since I had watched some movie in theatre recently, I couldn't watch it. Maybe if I had watched the movie in theatre and haven't seen numerous social media posts, the movie would have felt more impactful.

Nevertheless, Garuda Gamana Vrishabha Vahana was a worthy watch.
